YAEL DECKELBAUM
Yael Deckelbaum is a platinum-award-winning singer/songwriter and activist in | the Women Wage Peace Movement. Yael is Israeli/Canadian & she is the founding member of the Israeli folk band | Abanot Nechama
Her song “Prayer Of The Mothers” was initially written to support the Women Wage Peace Movement 2016. using her music to inspire positive change and support nonviolent communication between cultures in conflict, emphasising the necessity of women in leadership
It has two main objectives: the first is to encourage peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority and urge the enforcement of UN resolution 1352 to reaffirm the important role of women in the prevention and resolution of conflicts.
